Rollerdor Sponsors Chloe’s Drive for Karate Success
Rollerdor is delighted to be sponsoring a promising young female athlete with strong local connections, Sensei Chloe Miller, as she competes this April in a major national karate competition. ‘Sensei’ is a term for a teacher or instructor in martial arts.
Based at the South Eastern School of Martial Arts (SESMA), Chloe has been learning karate since the age of 11. She earned her black belt just three years later in 2016 and her 2nd Dan black belt two years after that. As part of her development, she attends EKKA (English Korean Karate Association) squad sessions in Ipswich and once a week travels down to Colchester for further training.
The next twelve months are going to be massive for Chloe’s future in the sport, as first she competes in the British Karate Federation (BKF) Four Nations 2023 as part of EKKA’s squad, before heading to Florida to represent Great Britain at the World Martial Arts Games in July.
All this represents a giant step towards her dreams of competing at major international events like the WKF World Championships.
The BKF Four Nations 2023 is taking place in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, over the Easter weekend and Rollerdor is proud to be sponsoring her for this big competition as she takes on the cream of British karate talent in the Female Senior Kata: KA25.
At Rollerdor, we’re committed to helping support young women in sport and we can’t wait to see how Chloe progresses in her quest for karate glory. Keep an eye on our social media posts to find out how she gets on!
