Start nowWe’ve replaced as much of our foam packaging as possible with paper and bubble wrap, so both we and our customers can recycle packaging after deliveries.
For deliveries, foam is essential to keep the doors safe in transit. In these cases, we only use a reusable foam; once the job is delivered, the foam returns with the driver, ready to be used on another project.
We separate different types of waste into different skips; cardboard, aluminium, steel and wood are all sorted carefully, allowing us to be more efficient when recycling our waste.
We’ve introduced another skip category into our rotation; this skip will be used for plastic, which will allow us to recycle any essential bubble wrap we use.
We’re also going paperless with our installation instructions. Customers will still receive clear, easy-to-follow instructions with their new garage door, but they’ll come in the form of an email and QR code on their user guide rather than sheets of paper.
We have introduced a new logistics system incorporating a tablet based delivery to remove the need for paper delivery notes. This system is also designed to maximise our deliveries and minimise travel to further reduce our impact on the environment.
Some of our eco-friendly changes are well underway, and others are in the pipeline for the near future. Each change will make us ‘greener’, reducing our carbon footprint but allowing us to maintain the high levels of service that Rollerdor is renowned for.
